The largely unknown Andaman island of Koh Yao Noi is located in the bay of Phang-Nga between the provinces of Phuket and Krabi and can be reached by small ferry from Phuket in about an hour. The traditional life here has hardly changed over the years. The only road meanders through the rice fields and forested hills and past deserted tropical beaches. The best way to discover this island paradise is by mountain bikes. The route leads through fishing villages, rice fields, plantations, marketplaces and beaches that invite you to stop for a swim. There are many stops, beautiful places invite you to linger and spectacular views make up for the tropical temperatures. At lunchtime, the local cuisine is tried in a small restaurant, after which there is time to swim or more mountain bike adventures before returning to Phuket by ferry.
